Supplied in this kit, is all that you need* for installation of a discrete, maintenance free parking sensor to assist you in avoiding the unexpected. In this kit, you will receive: An Electronic Control Unit (ECU) A Speaker with attached Wiring Loom (and enough cable to conveniently mount it!) An Antenna Fittings to assist with mounting your unit Easy to follow instructions The antenna is designed to be discretely mounted under your plastic bumper (ideally 50cm from the ground, and 3 cm away from any metal parts). If mounting 3cm away from metal parts is unavoidable, the antenna will need to be covered with black duct tape (not silver as it contains metal!) once it has been stuck to your bumper. There are a total of four wires to be connected: A spade connector from the antenna to the ECU A block connector from the wiring loom to the ECU And 2 wires (positive and negative) on the wiring loom. The positive (red) wire needs to be connected to the positive wire of your reverse light, and the negative (black) wire needs to be either connected to the ground wire of your reverse light, or any other stable ground (i.e. the cars chassis). These two wires ideally need to be soldered (* tools, solder, and insulation tape are not provided) to ensure solid connections are made.
